ところ - The word ところ originally means (place), but it is also used to indicate a temporal position. - In this lesson is the latter and is used to stress a certain point in time during the course of an action. V – dictionary form ところです - This sentence pattern shows that a person is about to start doing something or something is about to start. It may used together with これから、ちょうど、いまから etc. Example: 1. 日本語 を もう 勉強しましたか。 ...いいえ、これから 勉強する ところです。 2. 社長 は もう 帰りました か? いいえ、今 から 帰る ところですよ。 V – て form いる ところです - This pattern shows that a person is now doing a certain action or a certain is now being done. It is often used with いま。 Examples: 1. 今 なに を やっているの? 今 日本語 を 勉強しているところです。 2. もしもし。えとね、 部長 は いらしゃいますか? 今日はね、海外出張している ところです。 3. 本 を 読んでいる ところです。 V た – form ところです - This sentence pattern shows that a person has just finished a certain action or a certain action has just been completed. Example: 1. この 新しい 携帯 は 一昨日買った ばかりなのに、音が あまり 聞こえないよ。どうしようかな。。。。 はずです - The speaker uses this sentence pattern to show he/she is convinced of what is stated before はずです。 - The speaker implies he/she has grounds to think so, that it is his/her own judgment and quite sure of it. Examples: 1. 今日 試験 が あるですよ。 ある はずですよ。昨日 先生 が いいました からね。 2. 漢字 が 難しい はすです。 |
